About Us

I’m Michelle wife, mom of two (17 and 23), and former Account Executive who once worked with major retail clients like Walmart. I spent years in that structured corporate world before chronic, irretractable migraines and lupus pushed me to slow down and find a new direction.

My first creative venture began in 2019, when I started developing Himalayan inhaling salts, natural blends infused with essential oils for clarity and calm. I officially launched them in 2021, but getting people to give them a chance has always been the hardest part. Once they try them, they almost always come back for more.

In 2022, I expanded into custom tumblers, and by 2024, I had added a clothing and hat line to the mix. But in September 2024, we had a house fire that caused severe smoke damage and destroyed nearly all of my business equipment and supplies. Our insurance coverage fell far short, and it forced us to start over again.

Out of that experience came something new. In 2025, I began creating kokedamas  living, moss-wrapped plant art that brought peace and purpose back into my days. That grew into Salty Roots, a brand that now blends everything I’ve learned through loss, healing, and creativity.

Each product — whether it’s a jar of salts, a tumbler, or a plant carries the same message: resilience, calm, and the beauty that grows from rebuilding your life piece by piece.
